Currently, the APC is in power and they seems to have the support of the people. Recently, Nigeria has been engaging in major activities link to Niger Republic. First of all, the Federal Government had approved the extension of rail construction from Lagos-Kano-Katsina to Marradi in Niger Republic, according to Minister of culture and information, Lai Mohammed, the extension would serve economic and commercial benefits.

Secondly, Nigeria to import petroleum products from Niger Republic, sign MoU on transportation, storage. The Federal Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Niger Republic on the transportation and storage of petroleum products. The PDP has now cried out on it official twitter account that the Niger Republic Refinery is owned by indimi who's an in-law to the President Buhari.
