Nigeria witnessed a wave of nationwide protest some weeks ago, an agitation against police brutality meted out by members of the SARS police unit on innocent citizens. The protest was originally a peaceful protest before thugs hijacked the agitation. The loud wave of the protest however died down with fear taking over when scores of peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate were reportedly killed by soldiers and many more injured.

However the highlight of the protest was that it was a movement that spread on various social media with thousand of people using the #ENDSARS Logo in their online campaigns, status updates and posts. The logo is a picture of a hand starting from the wrist down, with the fingers folded into a fist.

A Tattoo can be a decorative or symbolic but in this case I believe it is more of a symbolic marking on their bodies, probably to show the passion they have for this cause and their unwillingness to forget the sacrifices made nor to back down so easily.
