See What Residents In Broad Daylight Were Caught Doing To A Soldier Accused Of Killing Security Man

Tundeednut 11/26/2020

Civilians have the right to make an arrest and it is known as Citizen's arrest but in doing so, there are laws they have to abide by. A civilian making an arrest is only allowed to temporarily detain a suspect till the police arrive, and should not apply unwarranted brutal force, else the arrest will be regarded as illegal and the civilians would face criminal charges.

Civilian residents in an area known as Satellite town, Lagos state detained a naval officer who they accused of leading a squad to beat up a security man who later died but they broke the law governing a Citizen's arrest. Instead of waiting for the police to arrive, they decided to take laws into their hands
