Nigeria is a blessed country in possession of beauty both in nature and humans.

The Nigerian Army is also made up of people who are ready to risk their lives to protect the citizens and make sure that peace remains in the country.

Among these were people were part of the Army but died while serving the country but their contributions in helping this great country have helped the country grow.

These are three brave men that died while serving this country, they are remembered;

Retired Soldier Joseph Oloruntoju

Retired soldier Joseph Oloruntoju had a high blood pressure, slumped and died after watch a football match in which Super Eagles lost 2-0 to Bafana Bafana of South Africa. Captain Ojo Adalegan the public relations officer of the 32 Artellery Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Akure confirmed the incident saying;

"He is a retired sergeant. He has a shop at our mammy market (in the barracks). It was discovered that his blood pressure was found to be too high and he gave up the ghost".

Lieutenant Colonel Isah Yusuf

Lieutenant Isah Yusuf was the commander officer of the 158 task force battalion. He was from the Nigerian Army 7 Division in Maiduguri. While he was addressing his trops, the brave young man had slumped and died. What caused his death was not clear.

Emmanuel Victory

Emmanuel Victory was a young man who had been recruited into the Nigerian Army. One morning, he and his friends embarked on excercise, on returning, he slumped and had a cardiac arrest which took his life.

These soldiers were brave and were of help and support to this great country. They are not forgotten.
