Opinion: From 1st December 2020 to 14th January 2021, Every State Should Be Shutdown By Buhari

CJthewriter 11/24/2020

Life is more precious than every other thing on earth. Hence, every human being should be mindful of this and remain conscious of their lives. Earlier this year, a life threatening pandemic took us unawares and this tragically claimed the lives of so many people. Inasmuch as Covid-19 has become alleviated in our country, we need to know that the virus is still on earth and there's every need for us to take full responsibility of our lives and prevent it from spreading again by all possible means.

In this regard, as we are heading towards festive season starting from next month, I am of the opinion that, every State should be shutdown by President Muhammadu Buhari starting from 1st December 2020 to 14th January 2021.

The month of December is usually characterised with a lot of festivals and celebrations which will unavoidably draw public gatherings that can trigger the spread of Covid-19. All States should be shutdown by Buhari because prevention is better than cure.

The same is applicable to the month of January. In the month of January, the first two weeks also draw public gatherings during festivals and most especially, the new year celebration. This is why I opine that, President Muhammadu Buhari should shut down all 36 States in Nigeria from 1st December 2020 to 14th January 2021 in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
