In 2016, the news of the death of a great Nigerian football legend rocked the country as Nigeria had lost a great gem and personality in Stephen Okechukwu Keshi who was once the Nigerian national football team coach.

The late Keshi was a great and experienced coach, he was one of the outstanding coach that Nigeria ever had. Stephen Okechukwu Keshi hails from Oshimili North local government area of Delta state.

During his playing days, Keshi captained the Nigerian senior side to an AFCON title in 1994 and has manage the National team that lifted the AFCON trophy in 2013. He became the second person to achieve such fear as a player and coach.

Stephen Okechukwu Keshi was destined to do great things in his managerial career but deadly cardiac arrest struck him which lead to his death on the 7th of June 2016.

Keshi's Wife

Late Stephen Keshi was married Kate Keshi as their marriage last for decades and they we're blessed with four lovely children. His wife, Kate had struggled with cancer related issues which led to death in 2015.

Stephen Keshi died just few months after the death of his wife as many believed it played a part in his mental health which resulted to death.

Keshi's only sons Igrushi and Junior have grown to become handsome and elegant men while his daughters Jennifer, Ifeyinwa and Stephanie are now happily married.

Igurshi is said to be an Atlanta based event producer and manager who is doing quite well for himself in the United States, he has a young son. Stephanie is happily married to an handsome man in Emeka Enyihor.

The second son who is Stephen Keshi Jnr is a graduate from a prestigious University in the United States. Keshi Jnr is a talented western dancer who is based in Los Angeles and he is quite well for himself.

Nigeria and Africa will never forget the impact of Stephen Keshi as he will always be remembered for hia great exploits in the Nigerian football history.

May his soul continue to rest in perfect peace and we pray his children continue to do exploits to make their father proud.
