Angry Mob Machete Burglar As Lawmaker Rescues Suspect From Jungle Justice

ASABA- Angry mobs yesterday nabbed an alleged burglar who specializes in bulging phone shops in Agbor community, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Daily Independent gathered that the suspect, identified as Junior Osareme, was nabbed while attempting to burgle a phone shop located along Obi Ikenchuku road, Agbor at about 1:00 am on the fateful day.

It was revealed that the angry youths of Agbor Town, Ika south local government area of Delta State narrowly escaped death as he suffered deep machete cuts on his head and body from the angry mob who were determined to end his life before rescue came his way.

Our source disclosed that the suspect was being handcuffed by the police while receiving treatment at government owned hospital in Agbor.

Meanwhile, the member representing Ika South State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Festus Chukwuyem Okoh, fondly addressed as Chuky Dandy, by his admirers have offset his medical bills.

The lawmaker on Sunday, November 29, 2020 exhibited an act of kindness as he showed compassion towards the young man who was brutally beaten and worn tyre for allegedly committing crime in Agbor.

The warm-hearted and humane lawmaker, paid an undisclosed sum for the suspect’s hospital bill, having being called on telephone by the community youth leader who joined in rescuing the suspect from being lynched by the angry mob.

The lawmaker, while advising the suspect, condemned his action, asking him to thank God for sparing his life.

At the time of filing this report, efforts to reach Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya proved abortive.
