8 Teams That Have Already Been Eliminated From The UCL This Season

The matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League was completed midweek with over sixteen games been played across Europe. The matchday 4 saw six teams making an early qualification to the next round of the tournament.

The teams that made early qualifications are Chelsea, Sevilla, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Unfortunately, some teams have been already been eliminated from the UEFA Champions League this season due to their poor performance in the four fixtures played already. There are only two fixtures left and these teams can't progress to the next round even if they managed to win those matches.

This season's UEFA Champions League campaign has shown to be fast and running as things are happening so fast and it's shaping out to be the most interesting and intriguing campaign in ages.
Teams that have been eliminated in the UCL.
With the completion of Matchday 4 and ahead of next weekend's Champions League clash, there are about 8 teams that have already been eliminated in this UEFA Champions League campaign after four games.
These 8 teams were very inconsistent and shambolic in their approach in the 4 matches they played so far which in turns led to their early elimination from the tournament.
Who are the eight teams?
1. Salzburg FC:
Salzburg has only picked one point in four matches and with Bayern Munich already made an early qualification and Atletico Madrid closer to qualification, the chances of Salzburg are slim. They can fight to finish third ahead Lokomotive Moscow of and book a ticket in the UEFA Europa League.

2. Marseille FC:
Marseille is pointless in the UEFA Champions League, having lost all their four matches. With Manchester City already through to the next round and FC Porto only needing one point to ensure their qualification, there is no chance for Marseille to qualify for the next round.
However, they can still finish third ahead of Olympiacos to seal their place in the UEFA Europa League.

3. Midtjylland FC:
Midtjylland is pointless in the Champions League after losing their first four matches. With Liverpool, Ajax and Atalanta all above 6 points it's practically impossible for them to qualify for the next round of the UEFA Champions League. They will finish bottom of the group with no Europa League qualification guaranteed.

4 & 5: Krasnodar and Stadia Rennes.
Both teams have gained one point in their group stage and are officially eliminated from the Champions League after Chelsea and Sevilla picked up 10 points each to book their place in the next round of the UEFA Champions League. Krasnodar and Rennes are left with the option of fighting for the Europa League place by finishing third in the Group.

6 & 7: Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros:
Both teams found themselves in a tough group with two European superpowers, Barcelona and Juventus. As expected, both teams have been eliminated from the Champions League after picking one point on four matches.

8. Zenith Saint Petersburg.
The Russian club has not been in their best in this season's Champions League which has led to their early elimination from the UEFA Champions.
