Uzodimma Iweala is an American-based Nigerian medical doctor and author born on the 5th day of November, 1982 in Washington DC.
He attended one of the most prestigious schools in the world; Havard University, where he obtained a degree in English language and American literature in the year 2004. In 2011, he also graduated from Columbian college of surgeons and physicians. He made headlines in 2005 when he published his first book titled "Beasts Of No Nation", a book that was adopted into a movie in 2015 and won several movie awards.

Notable Achievements
Uzodimma Iweala is gradually following the footstep of his mom, making history and grabbing numerous awards. He won a lot of prizes in Harvard even as an undergraduate, including Best Undergraduate in 2003 and award of excellence in creative writing. In 2006, he was given New York Library Best Fiction Award and he was also named among the best 20 young American Novelists in 2007.
