The last few weeks have not been the best for COTU Secretary-General Francis Atwoli. The vocal unionist has been on the receiving end of scathing attacks from every section of the country with many Kenyans angered by the decision to name a road after him.  View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

According to many Kenyans, Atwoli has done nothing for this country to receive such kind of recognition. Many have blamed him for neglecting his duties as workers continue to suffer under his watch.

The decision to rename Dik-Dik road to Francis Atwoli has received huge opposition. The road sign was first vandalized a few weeks ago. The COTU boss was angered by the incident. He immediately ordered it to be reinstalled and then proceeded to hire security guards to protect it.  View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

However this morning, Kenyans have woken up to mixed news after unknown people burnt the sign using tires.  View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

Initial reports have indicated that the sign was vandalized by residents of Dik Dik-Dik gardens who were unhappy with the decision.  View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
