In a statement released on social media, the society's president Harrison Mumia asked the entertainer to get in touch with them so they could offer a helping hand.

Mumia said the livelihood of many entertainers had been affected by the pandemic and mentioned Tahidi High's Omosh as an example of those who needed help.

The society also noted single mothers were heavily affected and urged the government to get a stimulus bursary working for them.

"We ask the Governmentchue to set aside a stimulus grant for single mothers in Kenya. This fund should support single moms struggling with money, health, child care and illness," the statement read.

Mumia also urged the Kenya Films Classification Board and the church to offer support for struggling artistes.

Earlier, Hamo refuted claims of being a deadbeat dad, saying he always provides for his children through money sent to his baby mama by the current wife.

Hamo lamented that the current online insults directed at him exposed his children to ridicule from their friends in school.

He vowed not to engage in any mud-slinging to safeguard his children's privacy.

However, minutes later, Jemutai dismissed Hamo's claims terming the Hot 96 presenter a 'liar', adding she had received only KSh 9,000 from his wife since 2020 when they parted ways.

She added that the last time the presenter visited his children was in October 2020 before moving out of their home.

Since then, she disclosed that he has appeared in her house four times, all the times late in the night, while drunk.

She urged him to accept that he had failed as a father and was ready to do better.
