Muranga County Woman Rep Sabina Chege has today talked political boyfriends needed one to win an election in Kenya.

She was speaking on Citizen TV where she opened up about Kenya's politics and the owners of political parties.

According to her, political parties in Kenya are owned by individuals and not party members.

She noted that even during the making of campaign posters, they are forced to include the photos of party owners on their personal posters, adding that some of the photos of the party owners included on their personal posters appear like their boyfriends.

“Unfortunately our political parties are owned by individuals, we are not like the US where you are either a democrat or a republican

"Ourselves, politicians when we are doing campaigns we normally have our poster, but there is a section for the photo of the political party, almost looking like our boyfriend there, you cannot have a poster without the photo of the person you are supporting," she said.
