Former presidential candidate in 2013, Prof Ole Kiyiapi has delivered bad news for politicians with fake degrees. Ole Kiyiapi says there are many people with 'street' degrees who are confidently presenting them to authorities for employment.

Ole Kiyiapi adds that there are people who have never sat in a lecture hall to search for degrees. They just bought the certificates or acquired them from the streets of Riverside and River road in Nairobi CBD.
"Where are people who have never sat in a lecture hall obtain ‘degrees’? Such individuals are parading papers they purportedly ‘earned’ from some University. Kenya National Qualifications Authority must stamp out fake certificates all over the place.", Prof Ole Kiyiapi said.

Prof Ole Kiyiapi calls for Kenya national qualification authority to come in and look into the matter with seriousness it deserves. He advises the authority to stamp out the fake degrees owned Illegally.
This takes us back to the debate of whether politicians should have degrees for effective service delivery. It's good because it improves one's leadership skills.
