Deputy President William Ruto on Sunday, June 19, presided over the Kenya Kwanza Alliance rally at Jacaranda grounds in Nairobi.
However, the meeting was marred with chaos as his supporters engaged those backing Raila Odinga's presidency in a shouting match after disagreeing on who was to use the venue.
The two warring groups, in turn, started pelting at each other, an incident that left Embakasi East parliamentary seat aspirant Francis Mureithi and two others injured.
However, following the mayhem, the DP accused Raila of orchestrating the chaos.
Taking to his social media, Ruto claimed the former premier had hired innocent, desperate and jobless young people to shed innocent blood in his eternal quest for power.
"Mr Kitendawili, the lord of violence, has done it again: Hired innocent, desperate and jobless young people, victims of his sabotage of the big4 jobs plan, to shed innocent blood in his eternal quest for power.
What a shame on fathers day Mr father of violence. Freedom is coming August 9," said Ruto.
In a quick rejoinder, Raila told off Ruto questioning him about how long will he blame everyone for everything that befalls him.

"Mr Six months, for how long will you blame everyone for everything that befalls you. It’s not okay to be rudderless, clueless and plan-less.
This country is slowly overcoming fraudsters and shortcuts that define your politics. Maliza uende. There is no room for sympathy votes," said Raila.
In an apparent move to forestall an imminent clash, the ODM lawmaker urged his supporters to keep off the venue, noting that he was doing it for the sake of peace.
"I had booked Jacaranda grounds for my function today and notified the police while Ruto booked the same venue on the same day but in 2021 as per their notification letter.I have full rights to use this ground today but let my People stay at home coz we love peace," he urged.Police Deployed to Jacaranda Grounds Ahead of Kenya Kwanza Rally
The vocal politician also advised his supporters not to attend Ruto's function.
