Meru senator, Mithika Linturi, has become a subject of discussion in the news headlines following his reckless statement in Eldoret. The senator was part of the brigade that accompanied the deputy president for the mega event on Saturday.

In his speech, Linturi urged Uasin Gishu residents to do away with those politicians who are against UDA party. The lawmaker referred to those people as Madoadoa.

Kitutu Chache member of parliament, Richard Momoima Onyonka, has come out to link William Ruto with the utterances by Linturi. According to Onyonka, Linturi was just a messenger. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.

"We know that Ruto used Linturi to deliver his message. We also know that Madoadoa means the non-Kalenjins who reside in the rift valley. We need peace in this country and Ruto should know that," alluded the legislator.

The lawmaker went ahead to warn William Ruto that if anything happens to the Kisii community residing in Eldoret, he will go to Ruto to seek answers.

"This time we shall not allow our people to lose lives because of politics. Members of our community have suffered before in North Rift. If anything happens this time round, we will come for you," added Onyonka as he addressed a rally on Sunday.

Some Kenyans have come out to condemn Onyonka's bitter statement saying that it might cause chaos. They say that the lawmaker has misinterpreted Linturi's words and he is now preaching hate among people. Others have asked the DCI to take disciplinary action against the MP.
