A few years ago in Africa, and particularly in South Africa, Owami and her twin sister Olwethu made headlines after marrying not just the same man, but a man twice their age. The pair who had been married to Mzukiseni Mzazi said that the marriage had been more than pathetic.

The twin, brought up by their grandma, blamed hardship for marrying Mzazi, then a television operator. The twins stated during an interview with a local TV station in South Africa, that Mzukiseni Mzazi met them at a traditional ceremony in 2011. Since the young women wanted to pursue a film career at age 21 years, Mzazi vowed to support them. The guy could only change his mind later, and promised to only support them if they were to marry him.
A few months earlier, during an interview with a South African paper, the twin reported that they were married to him for 9 and that, they kept staying in the toxic marriage not because of their husband's affection, but because they wanted to avoid poverty. The lovely girls married the the man twice their age just in a few weeks, after which a wedding ceremony was organized. However after years of dilemma, the decided to eventually end the relationship.
Their current status. 2020
Today in 2020 the two are reported to be in Johannesburg South Africa as single women free of their ex-husbands and that they intend to get married again to one man again
