Following the spike in covid19 infections in the country, Kenyans have been urging the governnent to shut down Grade 4, class 8 and form 4. This was based on arguments that schools have started to report covid19 positive cases. However, the ministry of education cleared the air on the issue in a ltest report. The Cabinet Secretary of Education Professor George Magoha made a press statement while in Malaba and Mumias and he affirmed that grade 4, class 8 and form 4 learners will not close schools as this will only be based on facts and not speculations.
"No one is thinking of re-opening the schools or closing them down. If a decision is to be made, it will be made based on facts."
This was endorsed by Education CAS Zack Kinuthia who said that national examinations will be done as earlier scheduled. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
