Museveni Sends Heavy Message, Tells Ugandans What to Expect After Elections

Ugandan President H.E Yoweri Museveni.

The 2020 campaign period in Uganda has been highly characterized by cat and rat games between two most competitive presidential elections, H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his main opposition Robert Kyagulanyi commonly referred to as Bobi Wine.

The opposition, Bobi Wine has continuously taken to his social media account complaints of intimidation by the incumbent president during his day to day campaign activities. According to him, the president has been using state resources including the men in uniform to disappoint and humiliate the opposition.

On the other hand, Ugandans who seem to be tired of Museveni's reign have been reported many times to have blocked and chased away Museveni's motorcade during his campaign tours.

Despite all this happening, the president has sent out a stern message to the people of Uganda revealing to them what they should expect after the election results. According to Museveni, the result for this election is almost obvious since he does not see a fair competitor among his opposition.

"There is no opposition in Uganda which I cannot defeat. They have no track record of what they have done on national issues, so what are they opposing? I don’t see a group that has got a correct position in the politics of Uganda today that can defeat NRM." he tweeted.

Ugandans blasted the NRM flagbearer for what they insinuatingly said was arrogance. According to most of them, Museveni is so much drunk in power that he sees what he wants to see and how he wants to see it.

"You cant see because you only see what you want too, i know when you listen to the inner person in you, you know the truth. Or else your surrounded by sycophants who wont open your eyes to reality." one Tukahebwa Zizu commented.
