David Kenani Maraga is a Kenyan lawyer and jurist. He is the current and 14th Chief Justice and President of the Supreme Court of Kenya whose term will be ending in January 2021.

In 2012 Maraga surprised many after he took a Bible and swore infront of Judges and Magistrates vetting board that he has never taken a bribe in his career and would never.
Maraga who is a staunch SDA Church member was appointed as a Chief Justice in 2016 by President Uhuru Kenyatta a term that will be ending in less than two months time.
While being vetted by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) for the CJ job Maraga told the commission that he would never compromise his religion to do work on Saturdays. Even during the 2017 election petition, Maraga didn't hear the case by ODM Leader on Saturdays.

CJ Maraga is married to Yucabeth Nyaboke and have been blessed with three lovely children, two daughters and a son. The eldest daughter who is common is known as Vashti Kemuma.

Besides having his official residence in Nairobi. Maraga has a permanent home in Nakuru where he has been staying since he was a judge in Rift Valley Region High Court. Maraga spends weekends in Nakuru with his lovely wife.
