News broke yesterday that Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia had out doored the use of the QR code system for transactions in Ghana. He did the outdooring at a waakye joint in Cantonment. He admonished all including shoe shines, trotro operators and others to patronize the system.

Today Friday November 20, 2020 on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Sammy Gyamfi was on the show. He was asked by the host to share his thoughts on the launching of the Quick Response (QR) system by Dr. Bawumia. Sammy Gyamfi admitted that this was the first time he was hearing about the QR code.

According to him he heard reports of what Dr. Bawumia had done. He noted that all of them want the country to develop and if using this system for easy transaction was better, then he had no idea. “I applaud Dr. Bawumia for this. However, I just want more investigations into the system to make sure that there are no issues regarding it and then the country will be safe to use it” Sammy Gyamfi said
