The ministry of education through a task force chosen by Cs Magoha to determine when schools will re-open has finally submitted there report. The task force has recommended that schools should be reopened in September 2020.
Magoha's taskforce has also chosen a date when the national examinations should be done. They propose that KCPE and KCSE be postponed from November to February 2021.This is to allow candidates to be fully prepared for the exams.
The task force said they arrived at that decision after citing the impact of Covid19 pandemic. They argued that they have chosen a re-opening date that will allow schools and learners to be adequately prepared and put in place measures that will curb the spread of Covid19.
These comes as the taskforce also recommends that Candidates are to report to school two weeks early than the rest of the school. All students are also supposed to be treated equally when they arrive at school.
