Pretoria girls protest over racism at school

South Africa has not been sparred from the racism and on the 25th of June 2020 students protested over racism.

The Pretoria Girls High School students today staged a demonstration against racism. Students of colour at the school allege that they are being segregated.

The students held placards complaining about the treatment they are receiving because if their colour.

Pretoria girls were picketing over racial discrimination at the school. It is alleged that racism within the school is rife and some students within the school received treatment with regards with to the colour of their skin.

Students we interviewed on condition of anonymity at the school even threatened to quit attending the school as they say they no longer comfortable as they are regarded as second class.
