While some South Africans have been lucky to have received their 350 grant from SASSA, some have not lucky.

Alot of people still keep complaining that they they have applied for weeks but they haven't even been asked to confirm their payment neither have they received payment, while for some, their applications were immediately rejected.

Some days ago, SASSA responded that if Applicants do not get their payment within 7 days, then they should report to their banks.

So you may actually have an issue with your bank.

Moreso, SASSA has now come out with another reason as to why applications has been getting denied.

Applicants who are are registered with PAYE (Pay As You Earn) with SARS are being declined.

The Pay As You Earn is the money deducted from people's salary and it is paid to SARS to contribute in Tax.

The Pay As You Earn (PAYE) which is the amount that is deducted from a employer monthly salary which is paid to SARS to contribute in Tax.

Now the sad news is that some people do not even know that they are still registered with PAYE. Some people have stopped working for some months but are still registered with PAYE, thus, this is what is affecting your R350 grant from being paid.

The only thing to do here is to contact the department of employment and labour. It may be a stressful thing but that's what SASSA recommends that you should do.

Another reason why applications are getting denied is because some are filling incorrect sate. SASSA has been sending SMS to people to tell them that their details do not match. If this is the problem, you can visit their website or call 0800 60 10 11.
