COVID-19's hit to Mabopane and surrounding areas continues to rise

Mabopane and surrounding areas such as Winterveldt continues to be attacked by Coronavirus leaving residents in fear of their lives. 

This follows after continuous COVID-19 cases recorded in shopping malls, schools and police stations.

According to Mabopane Daily News, COVID-19 cases were recorded at Loate police station, Terminus police station, Shoprite in Mabopane Square and other areas. These recorded cases led to closure of business in those places.

Meanwhile , schools are said to have been closed until further notice after COVID-19 cases where recorded as the first group continues to attend class.

Pick and Pay next to Sasol Garage in Mabopane was yesterday closed following a positive case of COVID-19 being recorded.

The recording of these cases continues to leave residents fearing for their lives and also lives of their loved ones especially those currently going to school. 

Residents have been taking it to social media giving their views since the mentioned cases were recorded.

On Facebook, Paygen Tokotsi wrote "Now it's closer to home hey? Please people let's take this pandemic seriously!!!!Stay safe, see you on the other side free from it".

"Why did parents at the first place allow their kids to go to school cause we knew that this will happen. Now who's gonna be blamed our government or us as parents?", Busie Kgabo wrote.

Itumeleng Ernest wrote "Schools should be closed until the Corona is controlled".
