Bongani Zungu To Play Under Steven Gerrard

Former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, Bongani Zungu is reported to have caught the eye of Liverpool's prolific legend, Steven Gerrard.

The 27 year old is currently linked with a move to Europe's most historic clubs, Rangers FC. The Bafana Bafana midfielder has admitted that he wants to leave his current club, Amiens SC with the club failing to secure a spot in French League 1.


The Bafana Bafana midfielder was heavily linked with a move to Spanish side, Mallorca during the January transfer window but the Spanish side failed to secure the move. According to French reports the 27 year old could be heading to Scotland. 


Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard has reportedly made personal enquiries about the Bafana Bafana midfielder. Should the move be successful - Rangers will have to pay 3 million euros which is R57 million in South African rands. 


Zungu has played 21 matches for Amiens SC during this season's campaign and 1 assist under his name.
