Year 2020 has been the most difficult and depressing year in terms of finances as COVID19 has also came uninvited is South Africa. Individuals and businesses has felt it so harsh as lockdown system was introduced on March 2020.

ABSA bank has launched a comprehensive Credit Relief program to customers, businesses and Corporate. ABSA campus has small, medium sized businesses such as Hairdressers, pharmacies, florists and coffee shops where renting holiday has been granted to these SMEs. (ii) First National Bank (FNB)

First National Bank is one of the bank that took an initiative of being considerate for their customers in this difficult time of COVID19. To those customers who qualify, 6 months payment break in their repayment will be granted through a separate credit agreement.

(iii)Capitec Bank

Capitec Bank has also informed customers regarding the credit relief program available during this dark moment of COVID19. Capitec Bank made it so easier for their customers to apply as steps are clearly stipulated below: To apply for credit relief choose one of the following:

1. SMS your 13 digit 1D number to 30679 and follow the prompts

2. Email [email protected] with your loan account number in the subject line

3. Call 0860 66 77 18 one of the agents will assist.

Note: allow 48 hours for response to SMS or Email.

(iv) Standard Bank

Standard Bank is one of the banks that opted to save their customers in in these tough times resulted by Corona Virus pandemic

This bank has made it very clear that it relief only those customers earning R7 500 permonth. This will include the house bonds, access loan,vehicle assets finance, credit card, revolving and personal loan only.

(V) Nedbank

Nedbank has developed a new motto " we may be far apart, but we are together in this one" which means the bank is understands that client my be going through rough times due to COVID19 pandemic. Nedbank say they will offer credit relief as per individual financial analysis. They also informed those customers with savings that if they wish to make an early release of their savings, it is very possible through application before end of June 2020.
