It is sad that mostly nurses are seen as ruthless monsters and are not appreciated as they should, nurses are judged and no one cares about the challenges they face. A professional nurse has been crying for the safety of her own 3 months old baby, she has been on maternity leave when the out break of the corona virus begin, my leave is over and i am expected to report on duty as of the 1st of July, i have requested for a cross transfer since December last year (2019) due to pregnacy illnesses that i experienced, she reported. I have been calling the department for follow up and they keep telling me that they're busy with it. View pictures in App save up to 80% data. According to my source when the covid-19 outbreak started they had promised that by the end of the week everything will be sorted, yet till now nothing has been sorting, she further said that when she followed up with the relevant person she was advised to contact a nursing manager called Machuene to make arrangements for her to be place at the local clinic for a time being considering her 3 months old baby's health safety. The nurse manager did not even bother to listen to my concern, the moment i told her i had a 3months old baby she just told me it was not her concern and it is my own social problem, as if i am the one who created the virus. i am not asking not to go to work but for them to consider my baby's health. I have rented a room and i have to hire a nanny to look after my baby, hence i can not live with her as i dont have enough space and always when the nanny comes and go it's putting my baby's health at risk of the covid-19 as she will indirectly be in contact with those the nanny have had contact with. It is bad enough that i am going back to work where i will be exposed to all sort of diseases while comming back to my baby, now she has to be double exposed, and the most sad part is that since 6weeks visit the immunization vaccines have not been available at the clinics and we were told to stop exposing the babies to the public till further notice. How can i provide quality care to other clients while knowing that my own baby's health is at risk and my manager cares less about it. Day by day we encourage women to breastfeed exclusively for 6months but we are denied to do the same to our kids by the same department. This is what our nurses are going throw everyday and this this why we have angry nurses because of challenges they face in their life . Please don't forget to leave your comments
