Miss SA has announced it top 15 finalist today, and Shudufhadzo Musida, has made it to the top 15 she has hit the ground running. Shudufhadzo Musida is a 23-year-old lady from Ha-Vhangani, Masia village in Vhembe district Limpopo, and during both National Lock-Down and Youth Month, Musida has been spending her time with her people giving food parcel to the needy, and also visiting various children’s and orphanage home. On the Youth Day she visited Takalani children’s home in Nzhelele village accompanied by Chief Matsila, Comedian SABC Livhu and the Matorokisi hit Singer Makhadzi. Musida said that she stands for socio-economic empowerment for women and children, hence she has spent the youth day donating stationery, handing out sanitary towels and cooking for the kids.
Shudufhadzo Musida, who hold the Bachelor of Social Sciences in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pretoria and she is currently completing a BA Honours in International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand.
Musida is the only contestant who comes from Limpopo province and has made it to the Top 15 finalists of the pageant and If it happens that she wins the pageant, she will be the second person to hold the prestigious title, after Bokang Montjane-Tshabalala, who was crowned Miss SA in 2010. “It is really surreal that this moment is happening, I went from being shy to being a part of this journey. The support from everyone, especially people at home has been super overwhelming in the most beautiful way. I am truly thankful for this opportunity, to represent so many women in this country,” Musida said.
According Sunday World reports indicates that the Limpopo MEC for arts and culture, Thandi Moraka, has also congratulated Musida and said that she was reprepresenting the Province very well with pride and dedication.
“This is a month for young people, and we are truly humbled with what each individual has achieved, this shows that hard work pays off. I have interacted with each of them and they have brought so much positivity about their journeys. I am urging every young person to keep raising the flag of the province high”, concluded Moraka.
The 62nd edition of the Miss South Africa pageant will be held in August this year and for Musida to have made it to the Top 15 Finalist has made everyone from Limpopo so proud. Social Media became abuzz with celebrations of Musida’s success so far. View pictures in App save up to 80% data.
Through her facebook account, Mashudu Nengwekhulu, has also congratulated Musida.
Meanwhile the twitter is also on the same mood, one could pick that up with great messages being washed over Musida’s twitter account. Funanani Mugabi also showered her with congratulatory message.
