South Africans are contesting ideas that the cigarettes ban will good for their health as the Government continues to keep the ban in place.

Legal challenges left, right and centre has led to President Cyril Ramaphosa admitting that things should have been done differently. And to rub salt in the wounds, today on the 26th of June 2020 the court has come into terms that the prohibition on the sale of tobacco products will be pushed out by a further six weeks.

All eyes will be on Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, who will be accused by ordinary South Africans on the ground that her influence in politics and high places has led to this decision again - is this true? South Africans are yet to find out.

And also, word on the ground circulates that the President and Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma should know that by the time the case is heard the ban will have been in place for four and half months and by that time billions of illegal cigarettes will have been sold as criminality becomes the new normal under the circumstances.

Summing up: South Africans will blame the Health Department and the National Coronavirus Command Centre. In addition to this, besides the current scourge of Gender Based against women and children in the country, the cigarettes ban has become arguably the most hotly-contested regulation.

Your thoughts on the President's admission of this fact, and today's court decision on postponing the court case to August?
