Sha Sha, the Zimbabwean songster and Amapiano vocalist is the first Zimbabwean artist to be nominated in the Amapiano category.
She won her very first BET Award for Viewer's Choice International Act. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the event was held online to enforce the social distancing to reduce the spread of the virus.
Most of the Amapiano songs which featured her vocals became favourites of many people. She has worked with various artists in the genre, artists like Kabza, MFR Souls and Lord Phorry to name a few, as she is signed under DJ Maphorisa's record label.
She was filled with joy and couldn't refrain from thanking her fans in her country and worldwide. "I'm out of words, did not see this coming at all. Honestly, I'm grateful, thankful, excited, numb just a whole lot of emotions, the mere fact that I'm nominated man! This is amazing! I need you all more than ever to bring this home, she tweeted.
"What just happened!!! a BET thank you! My people back at home and all over the world man," she tweeted again.
