After long gatherings and discussions, the league has at last gained ground in its arrangements to finish the 2019/20 season following three months of no football because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The South African government has at long last endorsed the resumption of the Premier Soccer League under lockdown level 03 guidelines.

The South African Football Association has since clarified top to bottom and in details the following stages in the process, which sees teams come back to club preparing and eventually, come back to action. SAFA said on their official site, "The South African Football Association (SAFA) invites the declaration by the Minister of Sport supporting the SAFA Joint Liaison Committee (JLC's) return to preparing and come back to play convention."

The statement further added, "The green light from the Minister implies the work on the execution of the archive can begin. SAFA has designated Chief Medical Officer, Dr Thulani Ngwenya as the Compliance Official to regulate the suitable execution of the entire procedure and that everything on the convention record is clung to."

The association in conclusion said, "The second piece of the convention record, which is the return to play, discusses the organic safe condition, a spot that is not a hotspot, has limit with respect to convenience for all teams, preparing and playing scenes in addition to other things, to be distinguished."
