Traditional leaders wants to assist North West department of education

Klerksdorp - The North West House of Traditional Leaders has declared in public that they want to work with the department of education in North West to assist due to the fact that all schools belongs to the communities.

"Our primary objective for these visits to schools is to see how we can assist the department. We want to thank teachers for the sterling work they are doing in enlightening our children," said Kgosi Mabe.

The house of traditional leaders has embarked on a roadshow to visit schools, to monitor and encourage learners in schools to work very hard.

The efforts of traditional leaders is also seen as an addition to the campaign called "Ngwana Sejo oa tlhakanelwa" by the department. Up to so far, they have been to Bojanala district in Ramokokastad at Kwenatlase High school, as well as in Ngaka Modiri Molema district at Khunwana secondary school.

Meanwhile, the department of education in the province has confirmed 62 COVID-19 cases. "We can confirm that there is a total of 62 COVID-19 related cases registered by the department. This means our confirmed cases have increased by 30."
