CONFIRMED: Ex-Oyo governor Ajimobi is dead
Senator Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi, the former governor of Oyo state, has been confirmed dead by multiple credible media platforms.

The 70-year-old politician is reported to have passed away at the First Cardiology Hospital, Ikoyi.
The former governor and experienced politician was reported to have been in a coma for several days.
According to Sahara Reporters, a reliable source shared that Ajimobi, who was being treated for complications from COVID-19, has been unconscious after his organs collapsed completely last Thursday.
The ex-governor had been on life support ever since then and this led to series of rumours that he had given up the ghost.
Ajimobi's family is expected to make an official announcement to the public on Thursday evening.
The former governor was rumored to be dead last week but the rumors were denied by his aides and family members.
The general public was enjoined to pray for his speedy and full recovery.
He has also recently been in the news for his National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC turning down the invitation attend to the NEC meeting convened by Giadom.
Ajimobi is survived by his wife, Florence Ajimobi, and their children Abisola Kolapo-Kola, Abimbola Ajimobi, Abolaji Ajimobi, Ajibola Ajmobi, and Ajijola Oluwa Ajimobi.
The former governor's death is coming after the National Executive Council meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
