Ruth Kadiri was born on March 24th, 1988, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. She studied mass communication at the University of Lagos and business administration at Yaba College of Technology.

Ruth has stated in numerous interviews that her love and interest for cinematography came to her at a very early age. She began writing while she was in secondary school. As a matter of fact, Ruth used to pay more attention to writing than acting.

But she soon discovered that both things go hand in hand, as during her first audition at Wale Adenuga Studios she met Victor Eze, the owner of a writing school. Ruth decided to perfect her writing skills and attended the school

A while after graduating from writing school, Ruth Kadiri wrote her first script, Wild and Dirty. Eventually, she started featuring in her movies as an actress. Her first movie as an actress was Boys Cot. Thus far, she has featured in over a hundred movies and has also written and co-written several movies.

Ruth is also a philanthropist. She lunched her own foundation called Ruth Kadiri Kids which was set up with the objective of helping the underprivileged children to achieve their goals and dreams through financial donations and inspirational lectures.
