Pathetic Story Of How Doctor, Son And Friend Were Killed By Kidnappers After Taking Ransom Of N7.5m
A kidnap syndicate has allegedly murdered a doctor, his son and a family friend after collecting N7 million ransom from the their family members. It was gathered that the murdered doctor had earlier given the kidnappers sum of N500,000 which makes the money to be N7.5 million naira collected. The Kidnappers have been arrested by Operatives of the Intelligence Response Team according to Punch newspaper.

This was disclosed today in Abuja by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba, while parading 26 suspects arrested for kidnapping, armed robbery, unlawful possession of firearms and other sundry offences.
Frank Mba stated that the kidnap syndicate had abducted one Dr Ausu Benedict , his son , and a friend when they were going to Abuja.
It was gathered that when the victims were still in captivity, the kidnappers were said to have contacted the families of their victims, who subsequently paid a total of N7 million to secure the abductees’ release.
Prior to the payment of the ransom, the suspects had forced Dr Benedict to raise a cheque of N500, 000 which was successfully cashed.
Frank Mba, however, regretted that the syndicate went ahead to kill their victims, notwithstanding the payment of ransom.
Two of the suspects, Gwar Henry , and Bello admitted to have committed the crime.
The police disclosed that a total of six AK 47 rifles , three pump - action rifles , and other weapons were recovered from the gang.
