1. President Buhari says APC’s fortunes is currently in jeopardy.

The President, Muhammadu Buhari, expressed worry over the shifting loyalty within the ruling All Progressives Congress and what he called inconsistency in leadership, which he said had opened the party to mockery.

He said it was clear that the party’s fortunes were currently in jeopardy.

According to a statement by Femi Adesina, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, the President made his position known in his remarks at the emergency meeting of the party’s National Executive Committee held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.


2. The Peoples Democratic Party has started its governorship primary election in Edo State.

The event is taking place at the Samuel Ogbemudia International Stadium in Benin City, the capital city.

Among those on ground is the Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, as well as other federal and state excos of the party.

3. Former APC lawmakers recommend NWC sacking.

The forum of former members of the House of Representatives in the All Progressives Congress has told President, Muhammadu Buhari, to immediately hold the meeting of the National Executive Committee with a view to dissolving the National Working Committee.


The forum said this in a letter sent to Buhari which was signed by 13 former lawmakers including Usman Mohammed, a former federal lawmaker from Kano State.


4. Police arrest dismissed sergeant for robbery.

A dismissed Policeman who is a serial motorcycle snatcher has been arrested by the Police in Bauchi.

The suspect, a 34-year-old who is identified as Makama Musa from Gombe State, was a sergeant before his dismissal from the Force.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Bauchi.

Although Wakil did not state when the suspect was dismissed from the Force and the offence he committed that led to his sacking, he said the suspect was arrested wearing a Police uniform along Bauchi-Dass Road.
