Abia State House of Assembly Allowed Another Two New Bills To Passed Its First Reading

The twenty four (24) seasoned 7th Abia State House of Assembly Lawmakers, today dated 29th day of June 2020 at the plenary, presided by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji, allowedtwo new Bills presented by the House Majority leader to passed first reading.

Hon. (Barr) Solomon Chijioke Akpulonu the sponsor of the two new bills.


The short title of the two new bills read as follows; H.A.B 19: The Abia State Physical Planning and Infrastructural Development Fund (Amendment No.4) Bill, 2020.

A Bill for a Law to further amend the Abia State Development Fund Law No 8 of 2010 Sponsored by the House Majority Leader, Hon. (Barr) Solomon Chijioke Akpulonu.

The second Bill, H.A.B 20: The Abia State Board of Internal Revenue (Amendment No .3) Bill, 2020.

A Bill for a Law to Amend the Abia State Board of Internal Revenue Law No.2 of 2016 and for other Matters Incidental thereto, sponsored by the House Majority Leader, Hon (Barr) Solomon Chijioke Akpulonu.

The House unanimously allowed the two new Bills to passed First reading, through a Motion which carefully moved by the House Majority Leader, Hon (Barr) Solomon Chijioke Akpulonu and seconded by the House Minority Leader, Hon (Sir) Abraham Oba, with the support of the twenty four State lawmakers.
