1. Buhari and Tinubu are still together - Presidency says.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, says President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Tinubu, are still together.

The Presidency, therefore, called on analysts to stop peddling falsehood.

Shehu said this in a statement while reacting to the reports that have followed the dissolution of the National Working Committee by the President.

He wrote; "To put the records straight: In the formation of this great party and giving it leadership, President Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who are reckoned as the founding fathers of the APC are both inspired by democratic norms, national interest and not at all by partisan motivations. These are the qualities that have made them move past cynical distractions.

They are in touch with one another. Their relationship remains as strong as ever and between the two of them, only they know how they manage their enviable relationship."

Shehu said that the very essence of the requests put to the National Executive Committee meeting of the APC by Buhari, which were unanimously approved, aims to pull back the party.

He said the opposition parties had used all their intellectuals and their supporters in the media to break this relationship and have failed.

2. Edo 2020: Tinubu asks Oshiomole to energize Ize-Iyamu's campaign.

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Tinubu, has called on the immediate-past National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, to return to Edo State to ‘energise’ the campaign of the party’s governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.

Tinubu said this in a statement on Saturday while reacting to the dissolution of the National Working Committee by the President Muhammadu Buhari.

The former governor of Lagos State said, “In Edo, we must rally round our candidate Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu. In this, Comrade Oshiomhole has a crucial role to play. I encourage him, now, to return to Edo State to energise the campaign for the election of Pastor Ize-Iyamu.”

3. Asiwaju Tinubu's 2023 Presidential ambition is dead on arrival - PDP Chieftain says.

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain and former Delta State governorship aspirant, Chief Sunny Onuesoke, has declared that the presidential ambition of former Lagos State governor, Senator Bola Tinubu is dead on arrival.

The PDP chieftain described the possibility of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of succeeding President Muhammadu Buhari come 2023 as remote.

Onuesoke made the statement in an interview with our correspondent on Saturday in Warri, Delta State.

He wondered what must have given the APC leader the confidence of ever thinking of becoming the president of the country when the PDP is waxing stronger both in popularity, structures and electoral base.

The PDP chieftain urged Tinubu to jettison his lofty ambition, saying with the crisis bedeviling the APC and the political fortune shining on PDP, it would be a figment of imagination for any political party to defeat PDP in the 2023 Presidential election.

He said, "The recent happenings in Nigeria political scene are evident that the pendulum of victory in 2023 is already swinging to the part of PDP.

Recent political occurrence is a prove that APC is already weakened by internal crisis and is expected to shred into fractions any moment from now."

The PDP Chieftain inquired in a part of statement, "The information from the vine yard is that no fewer than twelve APC governors are expected to defect to PDP soonest.

So, where lies the dream and hope of Tinubu becoming Nigeria’s President in 2023."

5. Obasanjo's position on Insecurity problems vindicates our stand - PDP says.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), yesterday, said that former President Olusegun Obasanjo's call for the overhauling of the nation’s security architecture is a vindication of its consist call on the federal government to change the service chiefs for better service delivery.

The service chiefs have simply failed to deliver. So Chief Obasanjo is right and he has said what the PDP has been saying for years. The federal government has failed in protecting Nigerians, many of whom have died either in the hands of bandits, armed robbers or Boko Haram. We have never had it this bad."
