Akeredolu Sacks Resident Doctors Who Protested Non Payment Of Allowance Recently

The ondo state governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has sent all the resident doctors who recently protested the non payment of their COVID-19 hazard allowance on suspension.


This directive was contained in a memo to all the medical directors of Government hospital and teaching hospitals in the state.


Ondo state as recorded not less than 100 new cases COVID-19 in the last one week.


This action of the government is perceived as an effort to silence dissenting voices as the gubernatorial election draws nearer.


It is also worthy to note that all the cleaners who are mostly ad-hoc staff all state-owned hospital have not been paid in the last six months.

The memorandum was signed by Adeeyo Babatunde on behalf of the cheif medical director.

The doctors were given till the first day of August so seek order places to continue their residency.
