Federal government okays schools resumption (see details)

The federal government of Nigeria has finally put a smile on the face of Nigerian students following the briefing of the presidential task force today in Abuja. The briefing was done this evening in Abuja through the Secretary General of the Federation who also doubles as the chairman of the presidential task force on Covid-19.

In his report, he said a new phase of extended eased lock down has been approved. In this period, there will also be a safe re-opening of schools to allow graduating students back to classes, while interstate movements would only take place outside curfew hours.

Also, there will be safe reopening of domestic aviation services as soon as practicable.

Consequently, the Phase Two of the eased lockdown be extended by another four weeks with effect from Tuesday, June 30, 2020 through Midnight of Monday, 27 July, 2020.
