The recent death upsurge in the state Which saw the Death of over five high profile personalities, including a personal assistant to Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and the chief justice of the state who passed away 2 days ago has opened another fresh wind of criticism on the Governor, who has been doubting the existence of Coronavirus in his State
However, a press statement from the Kogi commissioner for Health, Saka Haruna Audu implies that the State Government is ready to wade in efforts to contain the geometric spread of the deadly virus.
The commissioner disclosed that, Kogi State Government has set up a Reference Molecular Laboratory in conjunction with America Center for Disease Control (CDC) to attend to residents with Covid-19 related symptoms without hindrances.
The state Commissioner for Health, Saka Haruna made this disclosure during a message to the press Monday evening.
Saka also mentioned the establishment of Confluence Centre for Infectious Diseases in Lokoja the capital. He assured that relevant manpower from within and outdoors the State were already deployed to man these Centres.
