Josephine Myrtle Corbin was born on May 12, 1868. She was born as a Dipygus, which referred to the fact that she had two separate pelvises located side by side starting front her waist. This resulted in a body split as she developed. Each of her smaller inner legs was accompanied by one of her outer legs.

Myrtle led a normal life until she died. She became a performer at a sideshow circuit at the age of 13, with the moniker 'four-legged girl from Texas'. She was so popular that other performers started making a four-legged gaffe ( falsified performance).

Corbin got married to James Clinton Bicknell at the ripe age of 19. They had four daughters and a son. She died in Cleburne, Texas, on May 6, 1928, at the age of 59. Her medical condition was kept alive in medical journals known as Mrs. B
