Chris Oyakhilome, pastor of the Christian Embassy has claimed that a series of weeks of protests in the US had nothing to do with racism or the murder of George Floyd.

Oyakhilome said the protests were triggered by the government's plan to introduce security microchips.

Demonstrations had erupted across the U.S. after George Floyd, an African American, was killed during a brutal police arrest.

Floyd died on May 25 after being arrested by a white Minneapolis cop who pinned him to the ground for several minutes kneeling on his neck.

But in a sermon, Oyakhilome, founder and president of LoveWorld Incorporated, said that the microchips that will allow cities to control crime was what caused the riots.

This claim has not been confirmed in light of recent protests following Floyd's murder.

"For example, there are men who do not understand what is going on in the United States with the riots.

It's not about the man who died, it's not about black people, it's not about 'Black lives matter'.

I'll tell you what it's about," the pastor said.

"Now, from the protests to the riots and then more people have died since then, and the call for resolution, cancellation, apology from the police, why is that?

"They think it's restricted to the United States, no, it's not. Why are they doing this?

It's part of the game, and I'll tell you what it is, it's simply because they want to mastermind the alternative method of security.

"What is this alternative method of security? It's total control over the RFID microchip, that's what it's about.

So they're going to find cities to get rid of their police and then they're going to experiment with one small city after another.

Everybody has to get the microchip, and with that you will know everybody - they will know everybody, and crime will be controlled, and they have the media to support the hype.

"And they will inspire the failure of the system, they will extol it as the best thing in the world. So that's what this is about.

Get rid of the police, and everyone will have a microchip."

This is not the first time Oyakhilome has made unproven claims.

He had claimed that the introduction of 5G technology was the cause of the COVID-19 pandemic.

TheCable reviewed the claim and found it to be false.
