The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp Abia state command umuahia has arrested two suspected child traffickers in Aba, Abia state.
The state commandant Brr Nnamdi Nwanukwu while briefing news men on the activities of the command against crime said that the suspects were arrested following a tip off from its undercover operatives who have been on their trail. They stressed that the suspects have been handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for prosecution.

Abia and Akwa Ibom state government have appealed to the Federal government to put in place a police poll as a matter of urgency at the Ikwuano and Ini Obot Akara axis so as to preclude further aggression. The deputy governor of Akwa Ibom state Moses Ekpo in a media interview on the return of crisis at the border said that following the failure of the report of the field tracing exercise, it only took the personal intervention of the two state deputy governors to uphold a fugacious tranquillity at the two state borders.

The acting governor of Abia state Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu is assuring the Nekwasi Obiagu community in Umuneochi LGA that all issues pertaining to boundary dispute with Amata Isiagu people of Ebonyi state will be handled and resolved by the National Boundary Commission, NBC. He said that the national boundary commission had already looked into the case and assured amicable resolution to the satisfaction of all parties involved. Addressing Nekwasi Obiagu community when he visited them, Oko Chukwu said that the state government will work tenaciously in order to restore serenity and harmony.

The management of Trade More International Holding Limited is accusing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC of sealing its properties at Luxury apartment, Millennium apartment and Ogumanbiri event center located along Bank road and Finbarr's road umuahia, Abia state without thorough investigation. The company's legal representative Nwoke John Kalu in a statement gave the commission 48 hours to remove the notice of seizure on the respective estates. The company however illustrated that they are a credible organisation with many years of experience and stated that the properties do not belong to any politician or PDP chieftain for that matter.
