Chelsea's hopes of signing Leicester left-back Ben Chilwell this summer look to be on the up, with Metro reporting the Foxes may have found an adequate replacement in the form of Ajax's Nicolas Tagliafico.

Chilwell has been a target for the Blues for some time, while Argentina international Tagliafico played a part in Ajax's run to last season's Champions League semi-finals.

LUIZ'S WAGE CUT HELPS ARSENAL DEALS

David Luiz's new contract at Arsenal has come courtesy of a significant wage cut for the Brazilian, according to the Daily Telegraph, who say his drop in salary costs helped free up money to sign Cedric Soares and Pablo Mari.

The signings of the latter duo came on the same day it was confirmed Luiz had signed a new deal at the Emirates earlier this week.

EVERTON RECIEVE SANDRO LOAN OFFER

Real Valladolid want to extend Sandro Ramirez's loan until the end of the La Liga season but have yet to reach an agreement with Everton, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Sandro's loan will end on Tuesday but the clubs are negotiating an extension. 

The newspaper reports that Everton will continue to pick up the striker's wages in full when he returns and are keen to strike a deal, but discussions have yet to reach a conclusion.
