Beans Can Be Used To Make Sauce

Beans can be used to prepare Black Bean Sauce. Lets consider how this is prepared:

Heat two teaspoon of vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat

Add one tablespoon of fresh grated ginger

Two minced garlic cloves

One quarter of an onion, minced

Saute’ it until softened for about four minutes

Add one third cup fermented black soybeans

One seeded and minced red to the pan and stir it well

Add on cup of water

Half cup of tamari

One quarter cup brown rice vinegar

One tablespoon sugar and stir well.

In a small bowl, mix two teaspoon arrowroot and one tablespoon water.

Add this mixture to the saucepan and allow the sauce to cook on low heat until it thickens.

Remove from the heat and stir in two tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro

Serve on the side of steamed vegetables and pan-fried tofu
