Dubai Police have released a revealing video on how they caught Hushpuppi and his gang in Dubai. The Dubai media office posted the video on their Twitter handle

From the video posted, Dubai Police explained that in less than 4 months, Dubai Police were able to start the new operation code named Fox Hunt 2.

The operation coordinated the arrest of Hushpuppi and 12 of the gang members. Six raids were carried out simultaneously while the suspects were sleeping in their various Dubai residences. After months of investigating and hours of monitoring the gang on their social media accounts, a team of highly trained Dubai Police officers were able to confirm the gang's whereabouts and their fraudulent activities.

Dubai Police said Hushpuppi boasted about his wealth on social media and that drew attention to himself. He boasted on social media that he was a successful businessman, little did he know that Dubai Police were tracking his every move and his social media activities

The gang created fake pages for existing websites in order to redirect payment to their own accounts. The gang specialised in hacking corporate email and sending fake messages to clients, in order to redirect financial transfers and people's bank details into their own accounts

They flaunted their wealth on social media. They were involved in scams amounting to 1.6 billion Dirhams. 


Police officers confiscated items worth 150 million Dirhams. 21 laptops, 47 smartphones, 15 drives, 5 hard drives and 119580 files.

The gang have defrauded a large number of people too. They have defrauded 1, 926, 400 victims. They have 13 luxury cars worth 25 million Dirhams

The Dubai Police assured Dubai residents that they will always protect them from fraud and punish offenders
