Here is what most Nigerians and Africans as a whole thought of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Well, we were proved wrong!

Even today, we still have cases of the coronavirus growing.

I have come to note that sometimes, we Africans take things for granted and the news of a pandemic or worldwide illness didn't even scare us.

I remember hearing some people saying that they don't believe in the existence of the COVID-19 virus.

But many have died and many more are being treated.

The lesson here is that we all should take matters seriously. If we hear of anything happening outside Africa, we shouldn't think we can't experience it too.

We are all the same with other people from other countries.

Please, let's be aware and treat matters with urgency!
