The France international’s well taken treble has seen him surpass his previous best tally in a season.

His 19 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions takes him past his return of 17 back in 2015/16, which was his first year at United after leaving Monaco.

The 24-year-old had looked set to leave Old Trafford last summer after a difficult period under Jose Mourinho, but signed a new five year contract to the delight of fans back in December.

Martial has now scored 14 goals in the Premier League which is also his best, and will look to add to that number during Saturday’s trip to Norwich.

2.Consecutive Changes.

Solskjaer made the executive decision to make all five substitutes at the same time as the game entered the closing stages, choosing to rest his talented stars before they play again at the weekend.

Paul Pogba, Martial, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes were all withdrawn, as Odion Ighalo, Juan Mata, Daniel James, Scott McTominay and Andreas Pereira entered the action.
