My question to all these advocates of herb uses is, in which laboratories did they carry out experiments or researches to arrive at their numerous findings or what authorities are the citing? I am not by any means saying there are no therapeutic properties in herbs. But verifiable researches ought to be carried out to find them or authorities that have carried out such researches with their findings ought to be cited. Instead, what we have with the advocates of uses of herbs are mere traditions carried from one generation to another. Another problem is that of dosage. Dosages are usually not spelt out. And where they are spelt out, it is not out research findings. There are cases of people that took herbal therapy that resulted into excessive stooling and even death in some cases. May we be careful in whatever we take in because once they are insideof us, there may be no control over their actions.
